Jon is an award-winning talk radio presenter, social commentator, playwright and columnist.
As a playwright Jon has written over twenty plays and won numerous writing awards. These include a prestigious Fringe First for his play Hooligans, that later transferred to the West End. This play was adapted for TV by Yorkshire Television and led to him also becoming a writer for their TV series Emmerdale.
Jon is undeniably one the UK’s most decorated radio presenters and has won numerous broadcasting awards including being the only presenter to win three Sony Gold Awards, the Oscars of the industry, in one night.
He has worked on numerous BBC Radio stations including BBC London and had over a million listeners when he was the mid-morning presenter on national radio station, talkSport.
He was also a columnist on the Sun Newspaper for six years and won the prestigious British Press Award for Digital Innovation when he created the first radio station on a Newspaper website, SunTalk.
He was a columnist for Sputnik News for whom he also produced a weekly worldwide radio show with guests from the world of politics.
Jon has also appeared on numerous TV programmes as a social commentator or guest. These include BBC Question Time, Sky News, The Alan Titchmarsh Show and This Morning. Regular radio guest appearances include BBC Radio Two’s Jeremy Vine Show, BBC Radio 5 Live, RT News and Fox News.
Jon’s latest broadcast venture is the Jon Gaunt TV show which is broadcast on Wednesday and Sunday on many social media channels and on his YouTube channel, Jon Gaunt TV.
Jon is also an established host and compere and is available for a wide variety of events including charity nights, sporting events and after dinner speaking.
